History of Penguin's ski club

1992 – Penguin´s Ski Club Ostrava founded by Daniel Klos and Petr Martinásek, as the successor of the ski club of KDPM Ostrava/Junior Ostrava, whose members we had been since 1980.

1994 – Penguin´s Ski Club Ostrava registered as a not-for-profit organization.

1994 -

1995 - Since this year we started training in Karlov and Praděd in Jeseníky.

1996 – The first ski camp abroad - the Pitzal glacier.

2000 – Until this year the main summer camp was organized in the Dalešice dam.

2000 – The first summer camp abroad - in Italy.

2001 - We no longer organize our camps in Praděd and Malá Morávka.

2002 – We started organizing camps in Vrátná Dolina, Slovakia.

2002 – We celebrated 10 year's anniversary from the club's establishment.

2003 – After finishing his downhill skiing career, Jakub Sosna, our long-time member, became one of our instructors, however he keeps racing in cross-country disciplines.

2003 – V.A.D. Wortex owned by mr. Jiří Adámek in partnership with Daniel Klos and Petr Martinásek opened 4ski.cz - a ski shop.

2005 – David Cyprián becomes a new member of our club and a new era of summer camps focused on water skiing and water sports center in Pakoštane, Croatia begins as a result.

2005 – Long-term collaboration with the Adámek faamily (members since 2000) resulted in Jiří Adámek becoming the PSC expert on nutrition and cook.

2005 – Petr Martinásek leaves the club due to business reasons.

2008 – The club welcomes a new instructor, Bc. Martin Lukáš, who finished his racing career in Ski club Karviná. He participated in the first camp in Pitzal ski centre.

2008 – The last camp in Vrátná Dolina, Slovakia, from now on we organize camps only in sunny Italy and on Austrian glaciers.

2008 – We start grass ski training on Vaňkův kopec sports centre and start using a new training aid - Trikke tricycles.

2009 – First big success in grass skiing arrives, namely Honza Borák and Karolína Chrenová represent our club in an outstanding way.

2009 – The first season wholly organized abroad: in ski centres of Passo Tonale, Aprica, St.Cataerina, the Pitztal glacier.

2009 – Three more instructors reinforce our team - Radim Čegan, Ondra Chalupa and Anna Stolářová.

2009 – Jiří Adámek regrets to finish his carreer of our cook and is replaced by Michal Herman.

2010 – Glacier camps are moved to Stubai.

2010 – Our instructor team is further reinforced by Aleš Sasín and Lindaa Jandová.

2010 – The first public city race is organized in Skalka in Ostrava Poruba.

2010 – We go back to organizing bike caamps in Beskydy.

2011 – 6 camps are organized this winter, Livigno being a new ski centre in December and April, Passo Tonale in January and February, St. Caterina in March and the Stubai glacier in November.

2011 – Our instructor ranks are extended by our long-time member Tomáš Tužínský and HS member Adam Pecháček.

2011 – In collaboration with RC Chaloupka, we worked on a grant project entitled "Sport is fun all over the world".

2011 – We further our activities together with RC Chaloupka and Vizina Children's home.

2011 – Summer of 2011 will see 2 bike camps in Beskydy and water sport camp in Pakoštane... get ready for the introduction of a new AquaBird training aid!

2012 It will have been 20 years since the foundation of Penguin's Ski Club Ostrava...

2012 – Our instructor ranks are extended by our long-time member (since 1996) Martina Míková.
